as I was fastwalking through my facebook list this morning ..I noticed a major change in profile picture and the enthusiastic statuses … each and everyone raised a different flag for a country mostly they have never been to .. and posting sentences in different languages (with big thanks to google translate for sure!) .. and I faced the question which team do I support this world cup .. or do I even support any !!!
as the hip went on and on, I noticed people who don’t even know the rules of the game are spreading some team’s fame on their profiles .. and what an IRONY .. all of them just last week were all about GAZA this poor strip on the Mediterranean east shore .. with 1.5 M residence and no supplies were forgotten over a 22 young men running around a rubber ball … what hypocrites are we … what kind of causes we support ?or can anyone help me define support !!!
one of the dictionary’s definitions of support is “ To hold in position so as to keep from falling, sinking, or slipping” . yeah we all support gaza ! when it needed least … we all supported Gaza when the whole world was revolving around their freedom fleets .. we all supported gaza when it was news headlines … and now since the news are less, the name has faded away in too busy brains supporting football …!
keep it from falling … raise the ship from sinking .. save your memories from fading .. support gaza .. point out the awareness those teams don’t need you .. and you gain nothing watching their theatrical performances over 10 billion dollars field … the poor people of gaza are living on candle lights and minimum aids .. those people need us now more than ever .. the deserve a this tiny part in our lives that we call memory !
so if you were wondering which team I support .. I will proudly tell you I SUPPORT GAZA !
